Job Description

As a Sales Representative at Semican, you will be a key player in our development strategy. You will be responsible for promoting and selling our wide range of agricultural products while building strong and trusting relationships with our customers. Your technical expertise and ability to understand customer needs will enable you to propose appropriate solutions, thus contributing directly to their success.

You will also be our brand ambassador in the field, embodying our values of innovation and excellence, while strengthening our market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new customers while maintaining a strong relationship with existing customers.
  • Present and demonstrate the benefits of Semican products according to the specific needs of each customer.
  • Negotiate sales terms and close deals while ensuring total customer satisfaction.
  • Provide post-sales follow-up to ensure customer loyalty and resolve any concerns.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to keep abreast of product and market developments.
  • Write reports on sales activities, customer feedback and market trends.
  • Monitor the competition to adapt sales strategies and maintain our leadership position.
  • In some cases, oversee product sourcing to ensure product quality.
  • Represent Semican at agricultural shows, seminars and other relevant events.

Skills

  • Degree in agronomy, agriculture or related field, with a solid understanding of agricultural products.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales, ideally in the agricultural sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of French (asset).
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility for frequent travel.
