Since 1998, we have had the honor of carrying out RGCQ trials and evaluations of barley with malting potential, allowing Semican to market 55 cultivars, and to contribute to the registration and development of 25 other cereal and soy cultivars.
This allows us to continually improve by evaluating on site the best equipment that is under development in Quebec and which will be marketed in the 3 to 5 years, thus offering profitable and quality solutions to producers in Eastern Canada.
This specialized team develops new cultivars of cereals, soybeans, and intercrops and cover crops, providing Semican partners with expertise for the evaluation of future cultivars intended for producers in Eastern Canada. They also provide support to the sales team by collaborating on quality control of the various marketing and production programs.
