  • Biennial plant that rarely overwinters in our conditions

Seeding rate

  • 45 to 90 lb/acre or 50 to 100 kg/ha

Frost tolerance

  • -8°C

Forage Soybean

Légumineuses

Features

  • New soybean genetics for indeterminate growth
  • Can grow to a height of 6-7ft. (10-12 t DM/ha) if the season is long thus increasing the potential nitrogen return
  • Highly resistant to drought
  • Not susceptible to Sclerotinia as flowering is very late

Seeding rate:

  • 40 to 49 lb/acre or 45 to 55 kg/ha

Frost tolerance

  • -2°C

Features

  • Winter annual
  • Annual if seeded in spring
  • Biennial if seeded in fall
  • Rarely overwinters in our conditions
  • Establishes more rapidly than perennial clovers
  • Small seeds fill in holes easily
  • Prostate growth
  • Suited to cool, wet conditions
  • Not very competitive

Red Clover

Légumineuses

Features

  • A central tap root with secondary lateral roots
  • Two types: single or double cut
  • Single-cut clover establishes more slowly and so is less likely to overtake the crop when intercropped in cereals
  • Planted in spring, the potential for abundant biomass production in fass is high

Seeding rate

  • 5 to 13 lb/acre or 6 to 15 kg/ha

Frost tolerance

  • -15°C
